Invisalign - Teeth Straightening

Discover your smile again with Invisalign

Teeth that aren’t straight can affect both your smile, your confidence and your oral health. Plaque can quickly build up in the, hard-to-clean, gaps between your teeth and this can lead to painful tooth decay and gum disease. Crowded teeth can sometimes even affect speech and your ability to chew food normally. Issues with your jaw may also occur as a result of alignment and teeth can also get worn down.

Traditionally treating crooked teeth would ultimately require the use of treatment and braces. But now there is a new procedure that can straighten your teeth, using the very best in Align Technology. Invisalign is a revolutionary new treatment which give you the smile you want without the need for traditional braces!

FAQs

Invisalign is a clear aligner straightening system which works by wearing a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth. No Brackets and wires, and none of the restrictions that come with metal braces.

The Invisalign treatment uses a series of clear aligners to help you get your new smile. The trays that you’ll use are specially made for you. Throughout the treatment, you’ll change your trays every other week.

The Invisalign clear aligners will gently pull each tooth into a new position. While you might not see the results on a day-to-day basis, it will only take a matter of a few short months to see amazing results.

The Invisalign clear aligners are virtually invisible – people will not even notice you are wearing them. You can remove them for meals, when brushing or flossing and for special occasions.

The great thing about this system is that there are no metal brackets or wires that could irritate your mouth or affect the way you look.

Invisalign® only works while you wear the aligners. We recommend they are worn full time day and night (min 22–24 hours).

Each aligner is worn for 2 weeks, (before moving onto the next in the series), moving your teeth millimetre by millimetre, week by week, until you reach your desired result.

Treatment length will vary depending on your case, but the average invisalign® treatment is nine to eighteen months.During treatment you should visit us periodically at Green Oakham Dental Care, until it is determined that your treatment is complete.Once active treatment is complete, there may be some fine tuning to create that perfect smile.
